Happy October everyone! We have officially made it to fall. I love this season! I do NOT like the season after it or cold, but it is nice for a few weeks. Sweaters, candles, food, books, pumpkin, coffee, cozy days, oh my!  It’s been a while since I’ve done some calligraphy around the blog! It’s so nice to add on chalkboards, signs, cards or invitations, decor, etc. So today I decided to do a little calligraphy from my Calligraphy Made Easy: Project Book by Ashley Gardner. I found a template that I felt fit the fall mood, and got started!

The first thing I do before drawing anything in pen is draw the design lightly in pencil.

Then I go over it all with a calligraphy pen. Press harder on the downstrokes, and lightly on the upstrokes. You could also use any pen and write normally, but go back over the downstrokes and fill them in.

I made this a printable/download for you guys too!

Exciting news!

Short & Sweet Blog has reached 100 followers! I could see the day approaching and it’s finally here! Wow. I’ve had a lot of fun, learned a lot, and am excited to see what the future holds! Thank you to all my readers and those who have supported the blog! I have experienced nothing but kindness and encouragement here in the blogging community. I’m very thankful, and glad anyone can share thoughts, ideas, and content in a safe and fun area! I don’t want to say too much because I’ll have a whole post for all this, but I thought I’d give a heads up for (drum roll please)…. A 100 followers + GIVEAWAY post!  Keep your eyes out for this very exciting event/post coming soon! I’ll share all the details on the giveaway and how to get involved in that post as well.

Well, that would wrap it up today! If you have any fun calligraphy projects going on yourself, I’d love to see! You can share in the comments or get a hold of me from the contact page. Thanks for stopping by today and have a great weekend and fall season!
