So it’s that time of year…where summer ends, and school begins. I know, I know. A little sad, BUT that doesn’t mean we can’t make it fun and have a great year! So watch out 2018-19 school year, because here we come! And one way to make this year fun and add something to jazz it up a bit, is to have school supplies you will love to use! In this Back To School post I’m collaborating with bayance to bring you guys some amazing DIY notebook ideas! She is a great blogger and posts such fun reads! You can check out her post and blog HERE to see some more notebook ideas.
What I love about DIYs is that you can make anything and customize it to fit you and your style! Buying the same notebooks and supplies as everyone else…boring! Why do that when you could DIY your own designs and ideas!? It’s just a lot of fun spicing up the ordinary, and will make taking notes and doing homework a little more exciting (at least for the first few weeks…hahaha)! I’m going with more modern designs. Cute and simple! Now let’s get on to the notebooks already>>
Geometric patterns
I loved this pattern! And there are a couple of different versions of it too. You can flip the triangle (pointing up), or do a black triangle on a white notebook, or change up the colors completely, maybe add your own pattern in the middle, possibilities are endless, so just have fun with it! Here’s how to do itβ
All you’ll need is some painters tape and a white marker.
Use the tape to make the outline of the triangle (or whatever shape you want).
Then fill it in with lines going up and down and from side to side with the marker.
Peel away the tape, and there you have it! No more boring notebooks here! I love how this design is so simple and modern…that’s the “theme” I’m going with this year.
Moon Phases
With this notebook, you won’t have worry about anyone else having the same one! I’ve seen this pattern around a lot and I think it’s awesome! Here’s how to do it…
You’ll need: a sponge, paint, a pencil, and a circle stencil.
Start by outlining the moons with your stencil. I’m doing 9 moons, but you can do less or more.
Dab the sponge in some paint and start filling in the circles according to the different phases. I looked up a picture of the moon phases to reference to. Here is the one I used:
And that’s it for this one! These were so simple to do, but add so much to a plain notebook. Make sure you check out Bayance’s post to get some more DIYs and ideas for Back to School!
Comment below on how your notebooks turned out if you tried the DIYs! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great 2018-2019 school year!
Until next time,
